We also remove man-made roof tiles and slates that were manufactured as asbestos-cement composites to mimic natural stone.
For the roof edges, we safely strip away roof under cloaks—the cement strips visible at the gable ends—and remove bitumen-based sarking felt.
Our drainage services include the removal of asbestos-cement guttering, downpipes, hopper heads, and the large vertical soil vent pipes (SVPs).
We also remove asbestos-cement soffits and fascias located under the roof eaves.
2. Internal Ceilings & Walls
We specialize in the removal of fibre cement ceilings, which are frequently found in utility rooms, porches, and integral garages.
Our team is also qualified to safely remove textured coatings, commonly known as Artex, from both ceilings and walls.
We address composite window panels and sills located around window frames, as well as internal partition panels used in cupboards or as room dividers.
3. Flooring & Adhesives
Old flooring is one of the most common places to find asbestos in the home.
We remove vinyl and thermoplastic floor tiles, which are often hidden beneath modern carpets or laminate. Along with the tiles, we strip away the black bitumen mastic adhesive used to bond them to the floor.
We also handle the removal of the asbestos felt paper backing often found on the underside of old linoleum (lino) flooring.
4. Household Fixtures & Plumbing
Many functional items in older homes contain asbestos due to its heat and water resistance.
We remove asbestos-cement cold water storage tanks from loft spaces and address plumbing fixtures like black resin toilet cisterns and flush handles.
Our team also removes rigid bath panels and the small bitumen sink pads glued to the underside of metal kitchen sinks. For heating systems, we remove asbestos-cement flue pipes used for gas fires or old boilers.
Finally, we handle electrical hazards such as the dark resinous boards used to mount older fuse boxes and meters.
